Social Worker

Marije moved to Canada from the Netherlands in 2010 and joined West Kootenay Nav-CARE in 2023. Due to her international upbringing she learned to observe and deeply appreciate people’s unique backgrounds and life journeys. She has worked with people of all ages and is passionate about end of life care as well as supporting individuals to have quality of life as they define it. As the Nav-CARE social worker, she is excited to be a part of the NavCare team to support the amazing residents of the West Kootenays.

In her free time Marije loves being in the outdoors appreciating nature, taking photos or snuggling with one or all three of her dogs.
