Leslie Sharp

Castlegar Program Coordinator

Leslie Sharp brings a unique blend of personal experience, education, and passion to her role as Nav-CARE’s Castlegar Coordinator. As a mother of three, two of whom have special needs, Leslie’s journey led her to become a key figure in the Canadian Blood tragedy which she chronicled in a published book, Tainted, that ties together her lived experiences and her commitment to raising awareness about caregiving, health, and advocacy.

For 24 years, Leslie lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she became a patient advocate, blending her personal experiences with professional skills to support others. As a lifelong learner, Leslie has attended BCIT, UBC, Sheffield College of Interior Design, Thomas Edison State College, and The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Leslie’s thirst for knowledge is fueled by her desire to empower others, and she continuously seeks opportunities to learn and grow.

Her true passion lies in helping people. Leslie is a natural connector and thrives on giving individuals the tools they need to navigate complex healthcare systems and helping them access the tools and resources they need to flourish.
